Saleel al-Sawarim 4 - ISIS Propaganda Video with English Subtitles

There has been so much interest in Saleel al-Sawarim 4 – the latest propaganda video by ISIS (the Islamic State of Iraq and Al Shaam), the mujaheddin decided to re-release the video with English subtitles so non Arabic speakers know what it’s all about. Even lyrics of background songs have been translated.

ISIS/ISIL is growing in strength and even though they started small, by now they are a force to be reckoned with. If they continue to grow at the same rate (likely), they will soon be one of the mightiest forces on Earth. As you can see from the video, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Lavant is attracting many Sunni Muslims from all over the world. There are people from Kosovo, Chechnya, Bahrain and other countries among them.

If Sunnis were not caught up in an eternal struggle with Shi’a Muslims, if the two joined together and started fighting as one, there would be no stopping them. But as this video confirms, they are so in each other’s face, they negate each other out, allowing their both’s real enemy to advance.

Here are some of the Islamic words used throughout the video explained:

Safawi – a derogatory term for Shi’a Muslims used by the Sunnis. The word describes them as being misguided

Raafidah – a division of Shi’a Islam which Sunnis perceive to be deceivers and hypocrites

Ummah – community of Muslims throughout the world

Kafr – a derogatory term used to refer to an infidel, a non-believer

Enjoy Saleel al-Sawarim 4, now with English subtitles.

ISIS Member Executed by Liwa Thuwar al-Raqqa in Syria

Video from Syria shows Raqqa Rebels (Liwa Thuwar al-Raqqa) executing a guy they claim was a member of the Islamic State of Iraq and al Shaam (ISIS). Liwa Thuwar al-Raqqa operate in the Syrian city of Raqqa which has been vastly under control of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. ISIS responded to the video by claiming the the executed man was a civilian. But then this Syrian Rebel countered that on his Twitter account by saying that the guy was an “R.P.J expert from Khirbat al-Baqar and an ISIS fighter“. Arabic speakers often mispronounce RPG and RPJ.

The last words of the condemned were:

By God, I’m not Dawla!

In Arabic, the Islamic State of Iraq and al Shaam is pronounced “Dawlat al-Islamiya fi Iraq wa Sham”. Dawla simply means “State” and is used as a short name for “the Islamic State” which is ISIS.

Liwa Thuwar al-Raqqa pledged their allegiance to Jabhat al-Nusra who are both enemies of Syria and Daash (the Islamic State of Iraq and al Shaam). The latter two are also the enemies of each other which only proves just how messed up the situation in Syria really is.

The execution was rather unpleasant. The guy was at first unmortally wounded by being shot and left to suffer. The coup d’grace headshot was not deliver until after a period of suffering. ISIS are ruthless killers, but compared to Al-Nusra Front and their affiliate, they at least have some form of code of conduct so you don’t see them intentionally prolonging the suffering of the condemned. At least not as a general rule of thumb. Jabhat al-Nusra, on the other hand, are just a pile of rent a killers.

ISIS Member Sings a Song in German

The Islamic State of Iraq and Sham made themselves cozily at home in much of Iraq and Syria, but I don’t think they intend to stop at that.

I’d love to ask our German speaking friends to translate for us what the song this ISIS mujaheddin is singing is about. I think I’ve heard him mention Sharia, and the last name of top ISIS leader, Sheikh Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

Iraqi Army Shoots Up ISIS Convoy with Mi-35 and IA-407 Gunships

The Iraqi army doesn’t have the balls to engage ISIS in a face to face combat (kind of like their puppeteers that put them in power) so they shoot them up from the air. “The Clash of Swords” music that ISIS uses in their videos kicks this gay music in the ass too.

The video shows the Iraqi army shooting up a convoy of ISIS vehicles driving through desert. The Iraqis used Mi-35 and IA-407 gunships for the engagement. These helicopters have pretty powerful FLIR cameras that can zoom in quite closely on the target from a distance.

ISIS Captures Mosul - Second Largest City in Iraq

The Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham [the Levant] (Isis), a highly militant splinter group of al-Qa’ida, has effectively taken control of Iraq’s second largest city, Mosul and its surrounding area of Ninevah province.

The city was the de facto capital of Northern Iraq and, whilst economically important, is the strategic gateway to Eastern Syria which is, essentially, ISIS’s base of operations and where it controls the city of Raqqa, and has been involved in an intra-jihadi civil war with Jabhat al-Nusra, Ahrar al-Sham and a number of other groups.

ISIS is actively engaged in establishing a local Islamic state across the Iraqi and Syria border and was, apparently, recently reprimanded by Ayman al-Zawahiri, the overall ‘leader’ of al-Qa’ida (from his apparent base in Pakistan) and told to make its main effort in Iraq; they appear to have done this in spades as they have also sent fighters into Samarra, taken over Iraq’s largest University of Anbar in Ramadi (10,000 students; a useful number that can volunteer or be coerced into fighting; see below) , and undertaken seven bombings, targeting civilians in Baghdad, that killed at least 50 over the course of an hour.

The group has been led, since 2010, by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi (aka Abu Dua), it is a highly polarised militant organisation with effective military leadership, and is equally effective at killing Shia Muslims and Christians.

Isis tactics aim to launch surprise attacks, inflict maximum casualties before withdrawing without incurring heavy losses. It often uses militarily untrained foreign volunteers as suicide bombers either on foot wearing suicide vests, or driving vehicles packed with explosives; frequently one suicide bomber is followed by a second, to maximise casualties. Isis has also, apparently, produced propaganda videos showing Isis groups forcing families, with sons in the Iraqi army, to dig their own graves before they are shot. Isis was also behind the well-coordinated attack on Abu Ghraib prison in 2013 that freed large numbers of experienced fighters.

Mosul fell within four days with fighting erupting, in the west, on Friday before militants seized the entire western bank of the river Tigris in the early hours of this morning. This makes Isis, probably, the most militarily effective jihadist force in recent years.

Major Army and security bases have been captured together with American supplied equipment, aircraft and helicopters, weapons (including artillery) and munitions. This will be a huge embarrassment to both the Iraqi and United States governments as the troops are largely US trained, and demonstrates the relative weakness of the current military and security apparatus.

Local police stations have been set on fire and prisons have been stormed, and hundreds of prisoners including insurgents, set loose. The Times (United Kingdom) reports that ‘Escaped prisoners dressed in yellow jumpsuits were seen running in the city’s streets as armed men careened about in pick-up trucks flying the black flag of the jihadist movement’.

Convoys of government troops (trained by the Americans) and police, many having abandoned their uniforms and identity cards, fleeing the area have been stoned by children and teenagers.

Osama Nujaifi, the speaker of the Iraqi parliament and a native of Mosul, helpfully informed the world in a televised news conference ‘when the battle got tough in the city of Mosul, the troops dropped their weapons and abandoned their post, making it easy prey for the terrorists …… everything is fallen, it’s a disaster by any standard’. He appealed for international and government help to retake the city; ‘The presence of these terrorist groups in the heart of Iraq threatens not only Iraq but the entire region’.

Atheel Nujaifi, the speaker’s brother and the governor of the Sunni-majority province (there is nothing like a little nepotism), described events as a ‘massive collapse’ of the Iraq security forces; that might be an understatement.

Up to 150,000 of Mosul’s inhabitants have fled, many on foot and headed towards the safer Kurdish areas towards the north, despite the ‘reassurance’ of the insurgents who have announced that they would only attack those that chose to attack them.

This is the second major failure of the current Iraqi President, Nouri al-Maliki, having lost Fallujah to ISIS in January. Readers will recall that Fallujah was the centre of alleged US atrocities, and the centre of the original Sunni uprising against the Shiite government. Fallujah is only 40 miles, or so, from Baghdad and has been held by Isis despite repeated artillery bombardment and air-strikes.

The President has, therefore, lost control of two major cities and has no effective central or local government. His efforts to bolster his popularity amongst the Shiite population has alienated the Sunnis, and encouraged many to support the more militant factions.

Al-Maliki is seeking to establish a ‘state of emergency’, has appealed for ‘outside assistance’, and there have been rumours of the death penalty for troops and police that abandoned their posts. Although he has stated that the government would not allow the area to fall ‘under the shadows of terror and terrorists’ and called on ‘all power, political financial and popular to stop the terrorism’, this appears to be largely empty rhetoric with internal police, security and military forces seemingly incapable of even holding their ground.

The incursion into Samarra is important as, although, largely Sunni it is home of the golden-domed al-Askari shrine which is sacred to the Shia; attacks on this shrine by al-Qa’ida bombers, in 2006, led to wholesale massacres of Sunnis by Shias.

Look forward to some interesting drone and cruise missile strikes, and/or bombing, in the next few days, as the US seeks to minimise the dispersal of the captured equipment.

There are also reports that ISIS captured the oil refinery in Baiji – the largest oil refinery in Iraq. Kurdish TV allegedly reported that ISIS collected 500 billion Iraqi Dinars from Mosul banks – an equivalent to $425 million US Dollars.

Video below shows Mosul residents, including children, pelting retreating Iraqi army with rocks following ISIS offensive.

This video shows smoke rising from Iraqi military base near Mosul destroyed by ISIS:

ISIS Mujaheddin Celebrate in Mosul on Vehicles Taken from Fleeing Iraqi Security Forces

Finally, Washington has begun to wake up to the rapidly deepening crisis in Iraq. Barack Hussein Obama II, the 44th and current President of the United States, who just could not wait to ‘cut and run’ out of Iraq in 2011, is realizing that, despite the thousands of military and civilian lives lost and the billions of US dollars ‘invested’ in the country, it’s descending rapidly into a fiasco of enormous proportions.

William Hague blah blah blah

Background 1

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi (aka Abu Dua), the lead player of Isis/IsiL, was little known before 2010 when he became leader of al-Qa’ida in Iraq after the death of the previous leadership group in an attack by a combined force of United States and Iraqi forces. It is believed that his real name is Awwad Ibrahim Ali al-Badri al-Samarrai and that he is a Sunni, and was born in Samarra in 1971. He has a University of Baghdad degrees in Islamic Studies, including history, poetry and genealogy. He was an American prisoner in Bocca Camp, in southern Iraq, from 2005 – 09, probably as a result of activities as a militant preacher, with his own militia in Diyala province, in support of Saddam Hussein Abd al-Majid al-Tikriti, President of Iraq 16 July 1979 – 9 April 2003.

The destruction of the leadership of al-Qa’ida in Iraq, in 2010, marked a nadir in the organisation. The take-over of the leadership by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was accompanied by increasingly detailed organisation which even included the publication of ‘annual reports’ of its activities in each Iraqi province. Nonetheless, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi remained a shadowy figure with few knowing where he was located or, even, what he looked like. It is reported by prisoners of al-Qa’ida in Iraq, that he would wear a mask in order to maintain his anonymity.

The outbreak of the conflict in Syria allowed al-Baghdadi to expand his area of operations and undertake a series of carefully planned and brutal operations against both the Syrian Army and, remarkably, other jihardist fighters. The success of his campaigns may reflect on the composition of his leadership group, and advisers, who are believed to include senior figures from the previous Iraqi military (disbanded on 23 May 2003 by Coalition Provisional Authority Order Number 2 issued by US Administrator of Iraq Paul Bremer) and Ba’ath Party (Arab Socialist Ba’ath Party meaning ‘renaissance’ or ‘resurrection’) members.

Al-Baghdadi directed experienced fighters from Iraq to Syria, to establish Jabhat al-Nusra as his initial al-Qa’ida franchise but separated from this in 2013. As previously posted Isis/IsiL tactics are exceptionally brutal and the areas of Syria under their control are subject to Sharia law with torture, public executions (including be-headings) and the indoctrination of children and adolescents.

Background 2

Whilst the chaotic and disorderly retreat of Iraqi security forces (police and military) continues, with only minimal attempts at holding Kirkuk, Iranian Forces are reported to have crossed into Iraq. These are believed to be Iranian Special Forces (Saberin) and 150 members of the highly trained Republican Guard (Quds Force), their aim will be to bolster the Iraqi forces in the defence of Baghdad and any attempt to regain control of the lost cities including Mosul, Tikrit and Fallujah. The dismal performance of the Iraqi forces, attributed by a British ex-military commentator to a reluctance to fire on their own countrymen, may necessitate a return to the World War I practice of ‘pour encourager les autres’

The involvement of Iran in Syria to support President Bashar Hafez al-Assad (approximately 1500 members of the Quds Force) and, now, Iraq demonstrates that Tehran recognises the rapidly deteriorating situation across the Middle East, not least that Mosul is only 250 miles from the Iranian border and a gateway to the country. Ali Abdollahi, Deputy Interior Minister, stated yesterday that ‘The security of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s borders has been enhanced we cannot wait for incidents to take place, we always implement pre-emptive measure’

The Iranian leadership is a significant backer of the increasingly isolated Iraqi President Nouri al-Maliki and is probably in despair at his apparent impotence at quashing the Sunni Isis/IsiL rebellion and the weakness of his control over his Shia-dominated government that could only muster 128 of 325 Members of Parliament for today’s ‘emergency vote’; whilst the Kurdish and Sunni members boycotted the session, the other members may have been otherwise engaged in packing bags and arranging overseas trips.

The Iranian troops are headed by General Hasan Gohari, a veteran of the Iran-Iraq war (22 September 1980 – 20 August 1988; 500,000 Iraqi and Iranian soldiers, with an equivalent number of civilians, are believed to have died). General Gohari is believed to have arrived in Baghdad, with Major General Qasem Soleimani, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Quds Force, prior to the collapse of Mosul.

Endless Column of Iraqi Soldiers Captured by ISIS Marched Through Tikrit

Iraqi government admitted that two entire Iraqi army divisions broke and fled before single ISIS battalion of 800. According to The Times, 90,000 US trained Iraqi troops deserted. US trained? That makes sense. Doing what their puppeteers would do?

In Tikrit, birthplace of Saddam Hussein, tens of thousands of Iraqi soldiers, including the entire Contingency Operating Base (COB) Speicher, thus named after an American serial killer (glorification of state sponsored violence must never cease), reportedly surrendered to ISIS. Video below shows an endless column of them being marched down a road in Tikrit.

Saddam Hussein knew. He was right all along. As he stood on the gallows, seconds before his death, one of his hooded executioners told him to go to hell. Saddam Hussein responded by asking: “The hell that is Iraq?

The hell is what Iraq has been turned into after Saddam Hussein. What we see happening today would have been unheard of during his rule. As a matter of fact, Iraq was doing pretty well for itself, by Middle Eastern standards. And so was Libya. Both countries, thanks to the intervention by the USA and NATO, were turned into hell. Yet some sheeple still believe the mainstream media that the oppressors “saved” poor Iraqis and Libyans from dictatorships. What a load of trash.

And as ISIS continues to hint that they are gearing up for the overtake of Baghdad, the MSM continues to sell the war to the dumb. You never see MSM promoting peace. They only and ever glorify violence.

Iraqi Defense Ministry Released FLIR Videos of Air Strikes on ISIS Positions

Glory to 800 ISIS Mujaheddin for Defeating Tens of Thousands Iraqi Soldiers

Following the humiliating defeat and kick out of Mosul by ISIS, the Iraqi defense ministry released videos of airstrikes they claimed targeted ISIS positions. In light of viral reports that claimed the Iraqi soldiers surrendered by tens of thousands to 800 ISIS mujaheddin, I suppose the Iraqi government needed something to show their puppet masters that they’re not entirely useless and embarked on a desperate attempt to inflict losses upon ISIS the latter won’t even feel. Certainly not now that they’ve become the richest insurgency group in the world. Well done, ISIS.

I’m curious as to how far the Iraqi army will get with their airstrikes now that ISIS has the capability to attack from the air too. According to this mujaheddin, a Chechen pilot carried out an airstrike on Samarra on behalf of ISIS using a helicopters captured in Mosul. This guy claims to possibly have a picture of the helicopter piloted by ISIS and used to attack Samarra.

BTW, you can count on it that ISIS fighters wore helmet cams when they conquered Mosul and we’ll see a video of it soon. Anticipate Saleel al-Sawarim 5 in the near future.

FLIR footage released by the Iraqi defence ministry allegedly showing attacks on ISIS positions is below:

ISIS Leading Captured Iraqis, Presumably to Execution

Mainstream media (MSM) is beginning to report that the ‘nice’ behaviour of Isis/IsiL (I’m sticking with IsiL from this point in) has evaporated and they have resorted to the use of extreme violence in the pacification of the population in areas that they control. The United Nations in Iraq has stated that 27 ‘civilians’ were killed in one street in Mosul, a dozen Iraqi soldiers in another area, and at least 4 women ‘committed suicide’ after being raped and/or ‘married’ to IsiL fighters in the city of Mosul. Footage on the internet showed an Iraqi police force Major being apprehended in his home, handcuffed, blindfolded and then be-headed with a knife. His head was then photographed, resting on his legs, and uploaded to ‘Twitter’ with the title ‘This is our football, it’s made of skin #World Cup’; expect a lot more reprisals by IsiL against the Iraqi state apparatus but, maybe less on social media, as the current Shi’ite dominated Iraqi government have been attempting to dampen panic in Baghdad by closing down internet portals.

BestGore readership has already raised questions as to the fate of the security forces captured during the advance of IsiL, rumours from Baghdad suggested that there is a distinct possibility that up to 1700 may have been executed, many by removal of heads from bodies and shooting; photographic evidence of this has just hit the internet.

An IsiL spokesman, Abu Mohammed al-Adnani, has declared ‘The battle is not yet raging, but it will rage in Baghdad and Karbala. Put on your belts and get ready’ He also taunted the current Iraqi President, Nouri al-Maliki as being ‘an underwear salesman who had lost Iraq for the Shia’, adding ‘You lost a historic opportunity for your people to control Iraq and the Shi’ites will always curse you for as long as they live’.

Al-Adnani also indicated that IsiL is planning to march toward Baghdad and other pivotal cities, including the holy cities Karbala and Najaf, and then ‘March to Baghdad al-Rashid, the Baghdad of the Caliphate. We have a score to settle…Be certain of the victory of Allah as long as you fear Him’. It sounds, very much, as if the gauntlet has been thrown on the ground.

Baghdad, itself, appears to be a city poised on the brink with many of its 9 million population stockpiling food and water with commodity prices rising, rapidly. BBC interviews with residents suggest that market areas are abandoned, possibly due to fears of IEDs/suicide bombers, and that many are contemplating mechanisms of escape; possible if you have the means and money, impossible if not.

The country’s leading Shiite cleric Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani announced yesterday that ‘Citizens who are able to bear arms and fight terrorists, defending their country and their people and their holy places, should volunteer and join the security forces to achieve this holy purpose’ and this has led to large numbers of young men ‘enlisting’ into the Army and joining militias with the aim of President al-Maliki to create a ‘ring of iron’ around the capital.

It will be interesting to see how untrained adolescents and young adults fare against the seasoned IsiL fighters, in comparison to the capitulation by the US trained Iraqi Army in previous encounters, not least because the rout left behind equipment worth around $1.3 billion; including at least 72 tank and armoured cars, and several helicopters which were seen in a triumphant fly-past in Mosul; it’s believed that they were piloted by Sunni ex-military pilots who were previously loyal to Saddam Hussein. The abandoned tanks appear to be Russian built T55 medium tanks; not a great deal of use to IsiL as they need to be moved to where they are required by transporter, and, also you can’t just hop into them and play World of Tanks as this video demonstrates.

Nonetheless, tanks are useful in obliterating road blocks (IsiL used bulldozers in Mosul), destroying other armour and terrifying untrained infantry.

Baghdad has witnessed demonstrations of gunmen from the Shia Mardi army driving in trucks, saloon cars and expensive 4×4 vehicles complete with flags and honking horns, as well as a procession on foot of Shi’ites who were ‘ready to fight

Although a T55 is vulnerable to anti-tank rounds and rockets, you need to have the weapons systems and training to light them up. IsiL has a pretty good record of scoring hits on Syrian T72s, so we’ll see if the Shi’ite militia can match them if IsiL actually deploy their new toys.

Meanwhile Kurdish Peshmerga (‘those who confront death’) forces have retaken the city of Kirkuk and have liberated at least 10 Iraqi tanks and removed them on transporters, and dozens of Humvees. The Peshmerga are seasoned fighters, including women amongst their ranks, dating from the 1920s when the Ottoman and Qajar Empires collapsed. They are non-secular and played significant roles in the capture of Saddam Hussein in December 2003, and the interception of a messenger for Usāmah bin Muḥammad bin ‘Awaḍ bin Lādin in 2004.

The Kurdish front, around Kirkuk, was visited, yesterday, by Amira Zangana, a Member of the Kurdish Democratic Party, who declared ‘The Iraqi Army should not have given up this way. They should have stayed to fight ….. this means we do not need them. Our people, the Peshmerga, are fearless and they will fight Isis. Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has no role here’. The Kurdish move re-enforces their territorial position as they regard Kirkuk as their own provincial capital and it, effectively, hands them control over the adjacent oil fields.

In other news, Turkey has warned IsiL against harming the Turkish Consul General and the Turkish Special Forces troops that were captured during the taking of Mosul. An IsiL commander has reassured Rudaw, a Kurdish media network, that ‘The diplomats are safe and we are treating them well. We assure their safety and will return them to their country, they have nothing to fear because they are Sunnis and of the Hanafi faith. One of the diplomats has a dog with him and we provided food and water for his pet, too’.

Barack Hussein Obama II, the 44th and current President of the United States (US) has announced that he will decide what he will do ‘in a few days’ and that ‘military plans are being considered’ but, that, American troops would not be returning to Iraq to assist the current government. Reading between the lines suggests that the Obama leadership has been caught with its shoelaces undone and has only spotted the implications of the IsiL advance when the refinery at Baiji in Salahaddin province, and the nearby Ajeel oil field, fell to the advancing IsiL forces; the refinery produces 320,000 barrels per day (bpd) of Iraq’s oil output; to put this in context, Iraq has 8 operating oil refineries with the second and third largest being 150,000 bpd Basra, and 100,000 bpd Daura refineries IsiL fighters have not, so far, disrupted oil production.

On Friday Brent crude futures stabilised at $112.32 per barrel and United States crude levelled to $106.55, a record 9 month high as concerns grew on the ability of Iraq to continue production (just to remind BestGore readers; Iraq is the world’s second largest oil exporter; oil accounts for approximately 85% of its gross domestic product, and 20% of its output is destined for the US). As Shell and BP are the major companies involved in Iraqi oil production, I expect that their executives have had their telephones on re-dial to the White House and Whitehall over the past few days.

US Secretary of State John Kerry, speaking in London, said that ‘given the gravity of the situation’ he would ‘anticipate timely decisions from the president regarding the challenge’ in Iraq.
‘We have already taken some immediate steps …… including providing enhanced aerial surveillance support to assist the Iraqis in this fight. We have also ramped up shipments of military aid to Iraq since the beginning of the year’. The Apache Longbow and F16 Flying Falcon orders, together with an order for High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWV) commonly known as the Humvee, may be delivered a little ahead of schedule, after-all the Iraqi Army appears to have misplaced a large number of its current vehicles.

The latest news is that a US Aircraft carrier, one destroyer and one cruiser have been deployed to the Arabian Gulf; the carrier USS George H W Bush, moving from the North Arabian Sea, will be accompanied by the guided-missile cruiser USS Philippine Sea and the guided-missile destroyer USS Truxtun. They are due to be on station by next weekend.

And look; Iran and the ‘Great Satan’ appear to becoming Best Friend’s Forever. Iran’s president, Hassan Rouhani, said that Iran would not rule out working together with the United States to battle Sunni extremist fighters. It appears that neither the US, Iran nor the present Iraqi government are keen on the establishment of an Islamic Caliphate across the Iraqi-Syria border.

Iran has increased the preparedness of its air defence systems and Major General Qasem Soleimani, Commander of the Iranian Islamic Revolution Guards Quds Force, has been inspecting Iraqi and militia positions north of Baghdad. A little internet digging has suggested that Major General Soleimani and General Hasan Gohari were able to slip, with impunity, in and out of Baghdad, during the occupation by coalition forces 2003 – 2011; exactly who was the Iraqi government taking ‘advice’ from?

Obama stated ‘This is a regional problem, and it is going to be a long-term problem …… what we’re going to have to do is combine selective actions by our military to make sure that we’re going after terrorists who could harm our personnel overseas or eventually hit the homeland’. I guess using the term ‘terrorist’ is easier for the general population to digest as they might be easily confused by Isis, IsiL, Shia, Shi’ite, Iran, Iraq and Syria.

As the United States ramps itself up for another bombing and cruise missile frenzy, with the civilians caught up in it labelled as ‘co-lateral damage’, it’s worth remembering the words of Brigadier General William R Looney III on Operation Southern Watch* ‘If they turn on their radars we’re going to blow up their goddam SAMs (surface to air missiles). They know we own their country. We own their airspace …. We dictate the way they live and talk. And that’s what’s great about America right now. It’s a good thing, especially when there’s a lot of oil out there we need’. Postwar bombing Looney Ibid. Washington Post, Page 3, 10 August 1999.

It’s amazing what you discover when writing for BestGore; looking up Brigadier General William R Looney III, I discover that, amongst his many awards he has ‘The Global War on Terrorism Service Medal’. I didn’t know that even existed. So, here is a little more about it, courtesy of Wikipedia; The Global War on Terrorism Service Medal is a military award of the United States military which was created by Executive Order 13289 on 12 March 2003 by President George W Bush. The award recognizes those military service members who have performed service in the War on Terror from 11 September 2001, to a date yet to be determined.

Iraqi government forces have launched air attacks on IsiL positions, including in Tikrit, where a mosque was among buildings targeted; so much for the Geneva Convention (again) and, it appears, that the stand-off in Fallujah has led to the Iraqi forces employing artillery barrages and dropping ‘barrel bombs’ on civilian areas and hospitals.

Despite the counter-attack yesterday, there are reports of fresh clashes in Dujail, Ishaki and Dhuliuya in Salahuddin province, just north of Baghdad and IsiL have vowed to capture Karbala and Najaf, holy Shia cities in the South This brings IsiL fighters to within 60 miles of the capital prompting the evacuation of several hundred United States nationals from a base north of Baghdad.

Britain’s Foreign Minister William Hague has, finally managed to discuss matters with his Turkish counterpart; a step-up from spending so much time with Brad Pitt and Angeline Jolie, last week at a four day London conference intended to place countries under pressure to prevent their soldiers from using rape and sexual violence as a weapon of war.

Mr Hague has indicated that Britain is ‘considering its (surely ‘her’) options’ but he has, apparently ruled out ‘boots on the ground’ whilst ‘looking urgently at other ways to help’ such as ‘counter-terrorism expertise’ which is unlikely to mean TSA style airport staff and more likely to mean British Special Forces and Intelligence Officers; rather like Prime Minister David Cameron’s pledge in 2011 that no British troops would be involved in Libya; whilst, conveniently, forgetting about the British Special Forces and Intelligence Officers.

Meanwhile British politicians have promised £3 million for food, water and, rather oddly, household items for displaced persons, in a show of humanitarian generosity.

Background

Remember the video of the three unfortunate truck drivers stopped by IsiL in Anbar province? The dark bearded individual engaged in the questioning of the drivers prior to their execution at the roadside appears to be a Shakir Wahiyib with a family name of Fahdawi, which suggests that he is a member of the Anbar-based Albu Fahd tribe. He has earned a reputation for appearing unmasked in public and on video, whilst engaging in a series of extremely unpleasant executions. Iraq has, apparently, placed a bounty of US$50,000 on his head.

* Operation Southern Watch began on 27 August 1992 with the stated purpose of ensuring Iraqi compliance with United Nations Security Council Resolution 688 of 5 April 1991, which demanded that Iraq “immediately end this repression and express the hope in the same context that an open dialogue will take place to ensure that the human and political rights of all Iraqi citizens are respected.” Nothing in the resolution spelled out the Iraqi no-fly zones or Operation Southern Watch Source: Wikipedia

Photos of Mass Executions of Iraqi Soldiers by ISIS

After conquering Mosul, ISIS fighters released photos which appear to show the capture and transportation of dozens of young Iraqi men to a killing ground outside of the city where the whole group was mass executed. The captives are presumed to have been Iraqi soldiers. Several photos show them wearing uniforms, or hiding uniforms under civilian clothes.

Could you bloody believe that Tony Blair, who was prime minister of the UK when along with the American ZOG the countries attacked Iraq and ousted Saddam Hussein, would use the upsurge of ISIS to promote more war and violence to the masses? In a post on his website TonyBlairOffice.org the war criminal says:

The civil war in Syria with its attendant disintegration is having its predictable and malign effect. Iraq is now in mortal danger. The whole of the Middle East is under threat.

He then continues his bullshitry with:

We will have to re-think our strategy towards Syria…

What Tony Blair is implying, is that the violence in Iraq was the effect of the west’s inaction in Syria. Does he really think we’re that stupid? Does he really think we don’t know that it was the USA/UK invasion of Iraq that lead to the destabilization of the region and gave rise to the insurgency that cumulated in the creation of the Islamic State of Iraq and Sham? Acts of terrorism, such as car bombings, did not used to exist in Iraq. They only started occurring after the invasion of Iraq and ousting of Saddam Hussein.

It is no different with Syria. If the UK, USA, Canada and other countries under Zionists occupation did not arm, train and finance the “rebels”, the Syrian army would not be caught up in years of struggle with foreign mercenaries, and would be able to dedicate resources to countering the encroachment of ISIS.

Thus, Tony Blair is literally bullshitting the people on two fronts. For one – we know that the west funds the unrest in Syria and arms the rebels, so him implying that our “inaction” in Syria lead to the escalation of violence in Iraq is him lying straight to the people’s faces. And secondly – the “action” of the west in Iraq and Libya left the countries in complete mess. It was that “action”, the opposite of the alleged “inaction” in Syria, that escalated sectarian violence and plunged the countries into chaos that fosters extremism.

Saddam Hussein was no saint, but Tony Blair’s blatant itch for war, and his all out promotion and justification of violence come straight from the deepest circles of hell.

Luckily, I’m not the only one who sees past Tony Blair’s bullshitry. Sir Christopher Meyer, who was Britain’s ambassador to the US between 1997 and 2003 is quoted by the Mail on Sunday as saying:

We are reaping what we sowed in 2003. This is not hindsight. We knew in the run-up to war that the overthrow of Saddam Hussein would seriously destabilize Iraq after 24 years of his iron rule…

Common rhetoric from the MSM mouthpieces of the powers that be is that funding and training is provided to “the moderates”, but as The Independent explains:

But it is not clear that the “moderate” military opposition really exists except as tightly controlled cats’ paws of foreign powers… US and European politicians do not want to explain why, 13 years after 9/11, when the “war on terror” was supposedly launched, thousands of al-Qa’ida militants have been able to carve out enclaves so close to Europe.

Realizing that the public can no longer be so easily deceived with “arming the moderates” rhetoric, the US is now publicly pushing for a CIA-trained army. The Washington Post explains:

The administration is finally developing a serious strategy for Syria, which will include a CIA-trained guerrilla army to fight both President Bashar al-Assad and al-Qaeda extremists. In addition, (if skittish Arab allies agree), U.S. Special Operations forces will train Free Syrian Army units to create a stabilization force for liberated areas. If the ambitious plan moves forward, the hope is to train 9,600 fighters by the end of this year.

For now ISIS only released photos of the executions, but expect to see a series of new videos soon. Saleel as-Sawarim means “Clash of the Swords”. It is the opening line from the title song used in their action sequences, such as the drive by shootings.

Public Execution of Alleged Infidel by ISIS in Mosul, Iraq

This video contains English subtitles put in by MEMRI TV (Middle East Media Research Institute). Memri is an Israeli Zionist propaganda organization that whitewashes Israeli war crimes by misinforming the public with intentional mistranslations of speeches in Arabic. They were caught countless times giving different meaning to the words of Iranian and Palestinian public figures to keep the Muslim sentiment alive. This video however is of little significance, as its sole purpose is to foster the negative image of Muslims, whether they support ISIS or not, which means that in this case it would make little sense for MEMRI to intentionally mistranslate.

The video alleges to depict a public execution of an alleged infidel by ISIS militants in Mosul. The victim is shot in the back of his head at point blank range. There appears to be at least one child in the crowd.

The video also contains a little bit of footage of soldiers captured by ISIS at Camp Speicher.

Photos of ISIS Fighters Killed by Syrian Arab Army in Homs

Best Gore member Syrian_Boy, our connection in Syria, sent us more pictures from his country that’s being ruined by years of sustained attacks from the ZOG funded extremists. According to Syrian_Boy, the photos are from Homs countryside and depict the dead bodies of ISIS fighters killed by the Syrian Arab Army.

Syrian_Boy also included a photo of the ancient city of Homs that’s been left in ruin after occupation by the extremists. We’re all glad to keep hearing back from you, Syrian_Boy. Hopefully you can stay safe until the resolution of the conflict.

Twitter Explodes with Pics of Support for ISIS from All Over the World

Today – on June 20, 2014, the popular microblogging platform Twitter exploded with pics of support for ISIS (The Islamic State of Iraq and Sham) from all over the world. The central theme of the support campaign was:

1 Billion Muslims in Support of the Islamic State

As ZOG servants rubbed their palms together expecting to have the public support for an all out aggression against Syria, they found themselves faced with an unexpected display of support for the people their mouthpiece mainstream media went out of their way to smear as terrorists. In other words, the Zionists pushed agenda of multiculturalism, which is an integral part of the Divide and Conquer strategy of enslavement, is now backfiring and creating roadblocks for their evil advancements. Nice!

With the mainstream press working around the clock to embed in the sheeple’s minds the negative image of ISIS, “The Hindu” became the only corporate publication to tell the truth about the Indian migrant workers who ended up trapped in Mosul after the city was taken over by ISIS. This story simply doesn’t fit the agenda hence it’s been completely ignored by the western press.

40 Indian migrant workers, who knew tensions in Iraq were high but didn’t want to pack up and leave because their Iraqi employer owed them money for 5 months of work, are held by ISIS in Mosul but not as hostages. ISIS advised them against leaving and asked them to stick around at least until the tensions ease, because it would be very risky for them to travel on their own. ISIS also told them that if Indian government sent military escort to get them out of Mosul safely, nobody would stand in their way. Further, ISIS told them they could stay with them for as long as they liked, and promised to get them the wages they were owed by the crooked employer.

Kudos to The Hindu for possessing the journalistic integrity and saying the truth even though it doesn’t agree with pro Zionist rhetoric. That ISIS are not mindless killers and that they only go after military targets is what we’ve seen at Best Gore too. The drive by shootings video contains a sequence of two men walking down a street but only one gets shot. The mujaheddin made sure no other pedestrians, or vehicles become targets. But that’s not what the western press would want the public to be aware of.

Seeing today’s immense support for ISIS on Twitter made me ask the million dollar question – are Muslims ready cut out the infighting and instead realize that they are not each other’s enemy? If ISIS joined with Hezbollah, Jabhat al Nusra, Iran’s Quds Force and other groups in a fight against their all’s common enemy, together they could solve their all’s problem and then look for a co-existence solution which would become attainable now that agent provocateurs that create tensions between them are gone. The whole world would breathe the freer air once more.

Today’s campaign of support for ISIS was a global phenomenon, but I only have photos mostly from supporters in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, because that’s where my contacts are from.

Another interesting Tweet made on June 20, 2014 was published by Laurent Fabius, the French Foreign Affairs minister who tweeted on his Tweeter account that “ISIS is an objective ally of Bashar al-Assad and both mutually support each other“. That has got to be the lamest attempt at garnering the public support for attack on Syria yet. I don’t want to make a French joke, but that type of rabbiting nonsense battles even the crapola of Hillary Clinton.

There is No Life Without Jihad - ISIS Recruitment Video

ISIS Mujaheddin released a “Recruitment Video” titled There is No Life Without Jihad in which they’re calling on fellow Muslims to come to Syria and Iraq and take up arms in the name of Jihad. A small group if featured Jihadists motivate the viewer with quotes from Qur’an and inspirational speeches that target Muslims who feel dissatisfied and unaccomplished with Western way of life.

The more I keep hearing everyone talking about Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the more I feel like he does not exist. I would consider his existence plausible if not for major push for establishing him as the next big boogieman by the corporate media.

The statement by Günter Meyer, Director of the Center for Research into the Arabic World at the University of Mainz enforces the notion (Ropert Fisk agrees):

The most important source of ISIS financing to date has been support coming out of the Gulf states, primarily Saudi Arabia but also Qatar, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates

Who are Saudis the biggest buddies with? In case you’ve spent the last 100 years living in a cave, this article by British Professor Rodney Shakespeare should fill you in.

If it’s still not enough, you may also ask yourself why Israel needed ISIS to start the conflict in Iraq in order to receives its first ever oil shipment from Iraqi Kurdistan

Group of Men Executed by ISIS in Iraq

This video alleges to show the members of ISIS executing a group of men in Iraq. For some reason I miss the typical ISIS regalia they decorate themselves with, such as the Tawhid flag, or the Shahada creed on their vehicles, which casts doubts in my mind about this being ISIS, but it doesn’t mean it’s not either.

The victims all look like ordinary men – meaning non militants, non soldiers. At 3:32, when they film a close up of the first guy in the execution line, I swear I heard someone say “This man”. Maybe he was some kind of soldier cause they seem to focus on him more. But the rest certainly look like their only sin was that they belonged to a different religion.

The celebratory hug at 5:24 after the execution is pretty pathetic. As if they scored a goal against a rival team in football. Almost as pathetic as the American ZOG mercenaries cheering while murdering defenseless creatures.

2010 Interview with Reyaad Khan - British Jihadist from ISIS Recruitment Video

Remember the ISIS recruitment video featuring jihadists from Australia and the UK? British The Guardian identified one of them as now 20 year old Reyaad Khan of Cardiff, and obtained footage of an interview with him filmed in 2010, when Reyaad was 16.

In the interview, Reyaad Khan talks about the government wasting resources on “illegal wars” and argues more money ought to be spent on young people to help prevent them being led down the “wrong path”

Unfortunately, the Guardian focused on speculating that Reyaad Khan may have been radicalized while attending the Almanar Islamic Center, while never raising a possibility that perhaps our “leaders” truly are fucked up and that many people truly are fed up with their war mongering bullshit.

Perhaps if our great leaders did not dance to the Zionist “Divide and Conquer” tune, Reyaad Khan wouldn’t be in Cardiff in the first place. Perhaps if our governments did not invade Iraq and train, finance and arm the extremists in Syria, there would be no ISIS in the first place. Perhaps if our governments stopped sending soldiers to kill innocent people in the Middle East, the resentment would not exist in the first place. Perhaps if the world held Israel to the same standards as everyone else and prevented it from terrorizing the entire region, life would go on in the Middle East the same was it had for 1,300 years.

It’s sad that no mainstream media outlet has the balls to delve into the real issue and call the real problem out, instead of constantly pushing the same bullshit agendas.

8 Men Accused of Apostasy Killed and Crucified by ISIS in Dayr Hafir

Eight men accused of apostasy were executed and crucified by ISIS in Dayr Ḥāfir (دير حافر‎) a town in the Aleppo Governorate, Syria. In other words, ISIS killed these men and left their corpses hanging in a public place because they were not the followers of religion ISIS approves of (Sunnah Islam).

As we have seen in the video of truck drivers executed in the Anbar Province of Iraq, ISIS members have a series of religious questions only a Salafi fanatic deeply submerged in the Sunni religion would be able to answer. The inability to answer them correctly signifies to them that you are not a Sunni and that’s the grounds for execution on the grounds of you being the apostate.

The truck drivers, who in an attempt to save their lives told ISIS that they were Sunni, were asked how they performed each of the prayers: morning, midday and evening. The drivers were unable to properly describe the rites of Sunnis and were all shot.

This is of course not the first time we’ve seen ISIS utilizing crucifixion in Syria. In May, ISIS crucified two men in Raqqa (also a video of the aftermath) and a few weeks later they crucified a boy for rape and theft.

Beheading and Executions Carried Out by Obamas Moderates

When Obama sent them money and weapons, and set up training camps for them manned by child rapists turned thank-you-for-your-service PTSD whiners, he told us they were “moderates“. Fool me once

No one better than us here at Best Gore know who these moderates turned out to be. Now, in all his abominable blood lust, the Kenyan want to send additional half a billion to these “moderates” with a newly adopted rhetoric from his teleprompter which says it’s to train “appropriately vetted” Syrian rebels. How many times are we gonna allow the war criminal to fool us with his bullshit?

We know where Obama’s priorities lie and they are not with the American nor the Syrian people. If he wants to strip the taxpayer of another $500 Million, it’s because it’s good for Israel.

This video depicts the aftermath of execution of three men by Obama’s boys, who don’t have to worry about senselessly wasting ammo cause they’ll keep getting more and more courtesy of the western taxpayer, followed by an attempt at a beheading.

The beheading victim was a tough motherfucker. He did not even flinch as the jihadist sank a knife into his throat. He even opened up his eyes to show his executioners that he watched them do it and that he will have their faces etched into his undying soul for all eternity.

The jihadists left him to suffer by only partially slicing his throat. Then they tried to put two knives down to his neck. Eventually, because they had no luck severing the head completely, they attempted to twist it off but it still wasn’t working out.

Breaking of the Borders - ISIS Video with Brutal Executions at the End

Since the beginning of Syrian Civil War in 2011, the corporate media has been feeding the public a bunch of lies about president Bashar al-Assad being the bad guy slaughtering peaceful protesters. Thanks to Best Gore and a bunch of other alternative news websites, the lies of the powers that be have been exposed but it didn’t stop “Israel First” war criminals from providing the extremists with billions of dollars in funding, weaponry and training. Thanks to that, within a span of a few short years, we have witnessed groups like the Islamic State of Iraq and al Sham, aka ISIS rise to extreme power at an unprecedented rate. Yet the likes of Kenyan still continue to bullshit the public with colorful “appropriately vetted” rhetoric from a teleprompter in order to spend more of western taxpayer’s money on militarization of extremists in the Middle East.

In this post, I have still used the label ISIS for the mujaheddin from the Islamic State of Iraq and Sham, but this label will need to be retired soon. On Sunday last week, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, leader of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, unilaterally announced in an audio recording the creation of a new Islamic Caliphate. After 90 year, the vast swaths of lands that extend from Diyala in Iraq to Aleppo in Syria, have once again become an Islamic Caliphate they had been for over 1,300 year. At the same time, the group announced that they are dropping Iraq, al-Sham and/or Levant from their name, and are now called simply the Islamic State. Shortly after, it was announced that despite being former foes, a faction of Jabhat al-Nusra from Al-Bukamal merged with the Islamic State. While this doesn’t speak for the entire Al-Nusra Front, it is a rather precedent setting move that may see the rest of Al-Nusra follow.

What Is the Islamic Caliphate?

90 years ago, after almost 1,400 years of a glorious run, the Islamic Caliphates were destroyed. Khilafah, which represents a ruling system of Islam, existed in the Middle East from the time of Prophet Muhammad, until March 3, 1924 when due to the intervention from France the Britain, it was abolished. After re-establishment of the Caliphate, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi said:

The time has come for those generations that were drowning in oceans of disgrace, being nursed on the milk of humiliation, and being ruled by the vilest of all people, after their long slumber in the darkness of neglect — the time has come for them to rise

I wonder what the response to the establishment of the Islamic Caliphate will be from the United Nations and the world. After the Yahoodi hacked their way into the Palestine and said “this is now a Jewish state”, they were recognized as such by basically the whole world. Yet the Yahoodi had no right to that land and took it by force. Will the world recognize the Islamic Caliphate in the same way, seeing that these people actually do have the right to that land as Islamic Caliphates existed on it for centuries? Nevermind, I think I know the answer to that.

Below is a new video released by former ISIS, now the Islamic State. It is titled “Breaking of the Borders” because that’s what the mujaheddin achieved – they brought down borders established by states they don’t recognize.

The video features prominent Islamic State figures Abu Muhammad al-Adnani (the official spokesman for the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria – shown at the beginning of the video) and Abu Omar al-Shishani (the ginger bearded Chechen mujaheddin who speaks Russian laced with occasional Arabic. His Georgian birth name is Tarkhan Batirashvili, he’s a seasoned soldier). Perhaps the Islamic State will re-release the video with English subtitles later on, the way they did with Saleel As-Sawarim 4, so we know what they’re saying.

The video concludes with images of brutal executions. First, three men are shown being shot in the backs of their heads at point blank range. The one in the middle took a shot from a high powered rifle so his head instantly exploded. You can see half of it flying away. The one nearest the camera was also shot with a rifle so blood and brain matter are visibly exiting his skull. The one furthest from the camera was shot with just a handgun – still fatal, but nowhere near as graphic. After the execution of the three, the video shows a glimpse of a mass execution of a large group of people who appear to be captives from the city of Mosul. That’s probably a teaser for an upcoming video.

Syrian Army Soldiers Executed in Idlib

This particular group of images came to the surface as I was digging across the internet for information on another story.

Although the images appear to be a couple of months old, we haven’t seen them on BestGore and, as my posts are usually long, this is a short back story.

Seven Syrian Army soldiers were manning a checkpoint, in the village of Qmenas in Idlib, Syria which was overrun, apparently by Free Syrian Army terrorists although we can see a black flag in one of the photographs suggesting that this may be the work of IsiL (also know as ‘very possibly returning to a community near you’ animals)?

The soldiers were taken hostage and then brutally executed, apparently along with their families (unconfirmed and there are no civilian bodies visible in the photographs), by having their throats cut. The bodies were then decapitated and the terrorists are seen posing with heads, some of which are impaled on a metal frame, and dragging at least one of the corpses through the streets. Further derogatory insults, to the dead and dying, were documented as the jihadists stamped on the faces of the Syrian troops.

As ever, it’s great to get the youngsters involved and here we have happy, smiling children and teenagers enjoying the delights of the peaceful Islamic way of life.

The body language of the soldiers, as they are held before being executed, doesn’t require additional comment.

Sadly, no video and I’m trying to hunt down evidence of another massacre in Sareem, Idlib.

Qmenas is 8 km from Idlib, Aleppo is 69 km to the north east, and Homs 170 km south.

Some of the images are quite large; click on them to expand.
